Early 2005, Mr. Joseph Uwubanmwen had a vision. That is to create a forum where former students of the great institution, Eghosa Anglican Grammar School could come together in Houston, Texas to reflect and reminisce on our days in Eghosa well known for Academics and Athletics. This vision was actualized when we had our inaugural meeting at Mr. Joseph Uwubanmwen’s residence July 30th 2005. The following old boys were in attendance. Dr. Monday Oniawu, Mr. Nosa Iyoha, Mr. Greg Fadaka, Pastor Michael Okpamen, Mr. Edwin Ohonba, Mr. Paul Awoseyi, Mr. Robert Iyawe, Dr. Charles Izekor, Mr. Fred Omokaro, Mr Sonnie Ogiamien and the host. We agreed to meet every last Saturday of each month at 5:00 pm. Also we discussed the purpose of the Association. That is to form a lasting camaraderie and render needed help to our Alma mater in terms of financial and professional help by providing modern infrastructure in order to continue attracting prospective new students.
Eghosa Anglican Grammar School greatest strength is the quality of its products. Eghosa has produced disciplined men of good characters and successful professionals in numerous fields. On October 28th 2017 we had our first fundraising and launching event at Holiday Inn Houston TX. (See pictures in photo gallery) were many old boys reside. Please join us as there is strength in numbers. GOD BLESS YOU AS YOU COME.
